Yeah, I remember that. Users like us have been giving them hell on VI-Control and their own forum. I can only guess it may have had something to do with them being able to charge more, or deterring piracy somehow - a bottom-line decisions vs a customer-service decision.

I’m currently on a PC running Win 10 and a mid-2015 rMBP running Monterrey, both Pro Tools 2022.10 with an Avid Thunderbolt Native. Looking possibly getting a M2 Pro Mac Mini which would need an Apple TB2 to TB3 adapter (I use one with the PC as it has TB3 ports built in, the rMBP has TB2). I have found that there is a ARM compatible HD driver in the 2022.12 beta but I haven’t seen a post where someone has actually used a Thunderbolt Native with the Apple TB2 to TB3 adapter and wondering if there are any reports of success using this setup with the beta Pro Tools.

I upgraded from an 2014 iMac which was Thunderbolt 2, had just bought a Quantum interface (TB2) before replacing the iMac and use a TB2 to TB3 adapter for the interface with the Mac Studio without any problems. I understand the throughput would not be as fast as a TB3/4 interface but so far, working well for me.

If I'm not mistaken, Arturia has just updated their plugins. I'm seeing "AAX is now compatible with M1" on the new release notes.

We have a couple of parallel threads about AAX compatibility. In the other I'd mentioned that Arturia instantly crashes PT Native. Maybe my system is an exception but I've let Arturia know and will report back with any news.

Good here with Analog Lab V. Initial instantiation took a little longer than expected, but works and no crashes.

It's a funny thing... Arturia support asked if I was getting crashes when using these instruments via Analog Lab V, so I tested that and they worked fine. Immediately afterward I tried them again in ProTools and they worked! Popped right up. Seems that opening Analog Lab flushed out whatever was causing the issue within PT.

Try to delete the .vst plugin and try again. Same thing with Kontakt, it is a vst plugin wrapped in whatever. PT just cannot create the missing (?) .vst

That is odd. I had a problem downloading Analog Lab V with the rest when I was updating. I re-ran the update for it, and it was fine, but hmmmm.
