Default Long-haul --- Massenburg EQ BUG

Hi...

Am I the only one seeing this, since at least 2 years and still no fix...

I'll open a session with a bunch of MDW5 EQ in it... Some of them are in a state of bypass... (Not in activeness) The color of the plug (In the insert slot) correctly indicates that the plug-in is bypassed....

Only in reality it is not... It is processing 100%... Which is highly deceiving to the audio engineer..

Today stupid me sat an carefully eq'd a vocal using an outboard EQ... MDW5 was BYPASSED (at least that is what it indicated) - when I was happy with the result.. I remove the MDW5 (figuring I wouldn't need it no more) wrong guess.. In reality I was counter-EQ'ing the settings in the MDW5. Thinking it was bypassed.

George, I know you read these forums every now and then. It would be great if you could fix this. It is causing me so many problems... And now I am simply going to use other EQs. Perhaps I am the one stupid here because I dont check to make sure that the EQ is indeed bypassed.. But my life is too short to double-check whether this EQ in bypassed on every single instance. It would be nice if your plug would correspond to standards.

Thanks

Probably a dumb question, but I suppose you have the latest version 3.0

I never upgraded mine, whenever that was, I just thought $145 was pretty pricey at the time for not much difference.

Didn't use them much in 9 so when I moved to 10, they went to the unused plugins folder...again because I just didn't see spending $145 to upgrade them.

Hiya,

I realize that this is not much help but I use MDW EQ as my primary EQ all day everyday and have never seen this bug. From watching your posts in the past you seem to know your stuff. Can you tell me how to replicate the issue? I might be able to help.
