Default Removing iMac preinstalled Apps??

Hello all,

Can you guys help me to understand how I can remove all of the stuff on my new iMac that I simply do not need on my PT DAW? Stuff like Garageband, Chess, IDVD, iTunes etc...all the Apple preinstalled stuff....the files of which take up considerable space and memory. I need this for PT only...

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance

Tony.

Sure it´s possible!
Three ways:
1.: simply delete the applications
2.: (better) use AppCleaner which also deletes other files related to the applications.
3.: (best) Do a clean install of OSX where you choose which applications you need or not.

clausiii thanks. I have looked but there is no OS disk in the box! I am guessing I should have one there in order to reinstall Lion?

Sorry for being dumb....new Mac user...

ah ok, Lion! There is no install DVD! Apple doesn´t press them anymore.

Here you´ll find the information you need -> http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
