Keyboard Maestro functionality is broken with PT 2024

Apple (System preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > App Shortcuts) can assign shortcuts for submenus of an Application. These are the same hooks that Keyboard Maestro is engaging with.

And in Pro Tools, it can have shortcuts to delete fades.

I've now set it within Pro Tools, but this is still a weird issue. Other sub commands do work, but for some reason that one will not work with KM, I had trouble getting it to work with anything. I prefer KM because it syncs with all of my systems without me having to think about it.

Cargo Cult said that Pro Tools is moving away from API, so I wonder if KM is using API and that is why it isn't working.

I'm doing more work with Pro Tools and KM today, and it is broken again. I tried the prescribed fix again, twice, and it doesn't help any longer. Not sure what else to try at this point.

Why API? KM is using Accessibility for all the UI interaction. API is referring to third-party access, like Spot API etc, which is going to be with the new scripting engine, which has nothing to do with that. At least at this point.

FWIW all my KM commands continue to work without issue on 2024.3 on two separate recently upgraded machines, including a "Delete Fades" macro. Studio machines are on Ventura.

Just to clarify, my issues began when I updated to Sonoma. I have found workarounds for all of the issues so far.

I haven't installed yet, but today's 2024.3.1 release is supposed to fix these issues according to the bug fixes Knowledge Base:

"Issue with Apple script accessing menus on macOS Sonoma is now fixed (PT-317403)
Keyboard Maestro functions on macOS Sonoma (PT-312684)"

I just tested some random menus (among those that didn't work in Sonoma) and it seems to work
