Default Is pro tools 10 more stable on snow leopard or lion??

Hi all

I have been upgrading my imac 2007,2ghz/4gb from tiger to snow leopard 10.6.8 .
I have just reserved a copy of protools 10 at my local shop having been using 7.3.1 all this time.My question is would it be better to stick with 10.6.8 or move up to lion before installing pro tools 10.which system is a safer bet?
Can anyone advise?:confused
Cheers

Craig

I like lion. Make sure you follow all of the directions for shortcuts, and there is a driver issue that is easy to work around with the Mbox pro 3.

To the last three posters... why you say Lion? imho, Lion is terrible for a DAW... I'm back on 10.6.8

I'm running 10 on Snow Leopard and it is stable as a rock. That said, 10 is not without some problems, the biggest one being the audio stops playing bug. There is a very long thread on this in this 10 on Mac OS sub forum.

I initially did not like Lion due to the new learning curve and of course some bugs. However, having gone from 10.6.8 and getting what bugs there are taken care of my PT 10 is working flawlessly.

Lion OS changes take a moment to alter your maintenance routines.
Nice features are the bootable restore soft-drive for permissions and drive verifications.
Cloud for my calendar booking-only.

If I was not a systems advisor for several studios I'm not sure I would have gone to lion unless delivered with new computers. I have not recommended Lion to any of my clients running pre-Lion systems (Nor have they requested)

I changed out a 750GB to 1Tb boot drive for more headroom for what ever is going on under the hood caching wise. (Seemed to improve performance)

Odd features, App Store (System applications) - iTunes App store (iPad apps) (Why 2?)
Duplicate instead of save-as (Some Apps)

Useless to me, Mission control, Launchpad, no pref for deselecting-Off (Restore app launching) on restart/logout
(Manual checkbox)
Full screen for only single monitor (I use 3 monitors from single card)

Not too smart auto spell checker although it can be turned off (terminal)

I do use the trackpad more with it's features. I use it along side a Kensington expert mouse track ball just fine.

10.7.2 on MP dual 6core 12Gb PT9HD. 10Demo (PT's 10HD can get to 6GB for caching which is nice)
10.7.2 on MBP core duo 4GB (8 would be nice) PT's 10 regular no interface.
