Default what features have been removed from 5.1LE

in keeping with digidesign tradition, recent 'upgrades' have removed several key features.

what existing features that are still in 5.0.1le have been removed from the new upgrade?

this time i'd like the scoop BEFORE recieving it.

what is it now? the record feature? the edit window feature?

no more mixing?

automation feature removed?

what?

But seriously is there going to be a list of features that have changed or do we just get to find out by reading the manual..
The ad is nice but only realy covers the new additions.
and by the way is the manual going to be available for download or to we sort of flail around until the mail comes (assuming we download the upgrade)???

Now THATS funny

hahahah. Its just too darn cold up there to get everything working right.

I've played in Fargo. Anytime you get to a town and see a statue of Paul Bunyan (sp)..you know your in deep xxxx (snow)

Don't get me wrong....lovely town..lovely people...just too..coooolllldddd.

That would be funny too to have different versions for different areas. Sort of like those emissions laws..etc..which has led to the 49 state model vehicles..and..the separate Californa model so full of smog equipment it can barely draw air through the aircleaner.

All kidding aside...I DO hope were not gonna lose anymore features this time...

The total so far:
4.x to 5.0 > smpte timeline, virtual tracks, etc.
5.0 to 5.01> lost soundmanager level input capability

So, its not really too outof line to be asking whats next...since..the track record so far seems to indicated that this is very possible (that some other current features will be ommitted)..if not likely.

but..funny none the less. (laughing..nervously)

Haha...At least someone has a sense of humor at Digi. Wait, they were joking...right? In all seriousness, I think they need to make a midrange product. For example, TDM equivalent software and maybe another audio interface or two. They just don't want to consider this a pro product but they won't make a product that is affordable. I would pay another $2,000 for better software and a new interface.

If this whole thing is related to the distance you live from Digi HQ, then things certainly don't bode well for us Aussies! And it costs us more too, since our dollar is worth practically nothing!
At least I can look on the positive side... with the technology delay between Australia and the rest of the world, I can still be at the cutting edge using version 1.0 for the next few years

I hear if you pay an extra $75, they will upgrade you to 5.2 and you can get a whole 8 channels. Not to mention that you get a free plugin bundle: the "ultra-noiser", a 4-band "crap-alizer", the "Sound-muffler", an LE version of Antares microphone modeler with all of the models of microphones sold at radio shack, and "channel-bleed".
