Hi All, my first post here as a new user. I have a Powerbook 867 with 768MB RAM, an external LaCie D2 80gb drive, and a Digi 002 console. My question is: is it worth it to get a firewire card (pcmcia) to add a dedicated second firewire port, rather than daisychaining the fw drive + 002 off the powerbook's one firewire port? Does anyone have experience with this, ie with disk i/o errors from daisychaining?

I regularly chain my 828 off of my FW drives without any issues. I've seen designers who came through my theatre with a 002 do the same thing.
AFAIK, it shouldn't present a problem.
