Default Pro Tools Bummer

To all who read this we need to get something going.

I love pro tools but the amount of problems it has is unbelievable. If it is not one problem then it is the next. You know error code this and then that. These guys have been in business for a long time and they are supposed to be the industry standard, you would think that there software would run perfectly,
but this is just not the case. I think it is high time that digidesign got there act together and worked out all the kinks in there system, otherwise before they know it there company will be going bankrupt. So please digidesign sort out your bugs this is not good for business and to all the pro tools users out there lets try to make sure that they make it happen

regards
Grant Osborne

I feel you man, but there are always going to be issues with software, workarounds, bugs, and fixes... It's not just PTLE.

For me what has worked is building a computer to the specs listed on the DUC and once I had everything working right just stop upgrading.

The pros to this are that my computer hasn't done anything stupid in a session for the last three years. The cons are that I don't get to use all of the latest and greatest plug-ins that come out. I'm about to switch to PT7 in the near future but I am a bit worried by all of the software issues I'm reading about on here.

hmm, I have been running 7.3 for two weeks now with no issues at all, with the exception of the stupid right click menu, but that is by design . I was on 7.1cs8 for just about a year, and never had a problem either. Is your computer supported by digi, or tested by another user? I am using Shan's quad from the quadzilla thread, built by Shan and have only had one issue, but that was because the Motherboard was defective. Sent it back and it rocks every time I turn it on, all day.
I work on 3 DAWS, one dual G5 Mac with DP, one PC with SawStudio, and mine. My DAW is by far the most stable.
What type of errors do you get? Maybe someone can help you.
