Default It works on the new Mac Pro!

Hi

Just letting anyone know that I am successfully running 7.4 on Leopard 10.5.1

Its on the 8-core 3.2Ghz with the stock RAM

I have not done the D-Verb test yet, as I am waiting on my RAM to get here (and I am just about to install all the extra stuff, libraries, etc), but I will hopefully post some 2Gb of ram DVerb tests soon.

C

EDIT: I am running a Digi 003Rack

Smithcok: Thanks for letting us know. Given the existing problems with 10.5 incompatibility, this is good news. Hope it works as well for me when I go with 7.4 tomorrow...

Thanks for the info - I'm just about to get a new MacPro too so that's encouraging to hear.

Yeah, worked all last night.

Granted, its a little bit buggy, nothing major.

Bugs
1) Sometimes I have to increase the buffer, when the computer should be running it fine. (But once I increase it, no problem)
2) Sometimes when I open sessions with virtual instruments, the first time it tries to play back the MIDI track, it gives a buffer error. But, it must be some sort of "first time loading" thing, because if you just hit play again, it runs fine.
3) Strike, Hybrid, Velvet, and XPand all have messed up colors in the window. They seem to be working OK, but are hard to read in that crazy yellow look.
4) Once in awhile, when I hit play, it will play for a millisecond and then stop (same with record). I just have to reopen the project file.

Granted, its a little buggy, but I knew what I was risking when I bought it. Plus, as soon as the update from Digidesign comes (if it ever comes.......) I will be up and running on a beast of a machine.

Thanks, I'll keep posting my findings here.
