Missing names of audio clips in project

Out of no where i don't see the take names for wave file
in my arrangement.

when I double click an audio clip, give it a new name and hit enter
the wavefile is blank not reflecting my name change or anything name for that matter.

this never used to happen

I see the names in the region list but not on the waves anymore

its has got to be a setting

anyone?
