Entering precise Pan values?
Is there no way to type in an exact value for the pan position in the mix window? Trying to dial in an exact value with the knob is frustrating to say the least.
I am using 2024.3 on Windows.

Re: Entering precise Pan values?
Holding the command key for fine adjustment is a detailed as it gets as far as I know.

Re: Entering precise Pan values?
Thanks, that helped a little, but seriously... I should able to double-click on the numeric value and get an edit box to enter what ever I want. Seems like an obvious feature improvement they should have by now.

Re: Entering precise Pan values?
Where are you clicking?
Open the fader window and click on the number under the pan knob. You can type in the pan value. |

I am clicking on a stereo instrument track - that doesn't seem to work there.

It won’t work there. Open the fader GUI window and enter the value in that window. |

I see it now, thanks. Still, that's kind of silly (I am being nice) to not have the same thing in the mix window...where you mix....

Re: Entering precise Pan values?
I've also thought this for the longest time. It actually looks like they're primed to be double-clicked as well. (Same as the fader levels). There are loads of anomalies like this that have build up over the years though.

Re: Entering precise Pan values?
This has always puzzled me as well. Why should you have to pop out a floating window to double click a parameter when the same numerical value is displayed already in the mix and edit windows?
