Default Native Instruments Komplete 5 and Waves Platinum bundle not working in new iMac

This is probably more appropriately a question for the NI and Waves boards, but here goes: I've been running PTLE 7.4 on a p4 PC for about 4 years. I also had installed on that machine NI Komplete 5 and Waves Platinum bundle. I ran all these plugs on that dirt cheap PC for years without as much as a hiccup. I just bought a new iMac (quad core i5, 16GB RAM). I installed PTLE 8.0.3 on it, optimized the Mac, and everything is fine. My Native Instruments Komplete 5 plug-ins don't seem to be compatible, however. I know Akoustic Piano is no longer supported, but some others, such as Elektrik Piano, that should be supported do not function properly (drop-outs, a static-like sound). After two installs and uninstalls, I decided all I really cared about was Battery and Guitar Rig, so I tried installing just those two items. The Battery A disk then could not be read, so I just gave up. As for the Waves platinum bundle, I cannot even launch the installer; I double-click on it and it closes. FYI, I did install Mac drivers on my iLok. It appears from the respective plug-in manufacturers' websites that I cannot get support at this stage, so any constructive advice is welcome. Otherwise, I'm considering it a total loss.

Here is a page from the NI website that has a compatibility chart. Down the page a little is a pdf chart you can download:

http://www.native-instruments.com/kn...e+and+Hardware

Battery 3 should work if you install the latest updates. Guitar Rig 3 is not supported on Snow Leopard.

Acoustik and Electrik piano can be played via the free Kontakt 4 player you can download.

Of course, the easiest thing to do would be to just buy the upgrade to Komplete 7, and thus have the latest versions of everything, plus much more.

As far as Waves goes, they've probably been through a few versions since 4 years ago. But to get the latest version, you'll need to pay for the Waves Update Plan (or upgrade to a bigger bundle, thus getting another complimentary year of WUP).

So for not a whole lot of money you can be up and running.
