Default d-verb where is it??

I am trying to install D-verb, but I can't find it on my disk. I have the floppy on a usb drive, and I copied it to my desktop and then tried to open it and I get "an error happened while performng hard disk authorization installation or removal". What can I do? I thought this was supposed to be free, why do I need the floppy? I went to download it from the DIGI site, but the version that they have there says it only works with LE 5.1 or lower. Arghh....please advise. I had to borrow the floppy from my neighbor.

Hey Paul, this is Paul

What version of PTLE are you using? For some reason, I'm thinking that having the floppy on USB might cause problems with the authorization...then again, that may have been a problem with Waves auth...forgive me, it's early here.

At any rate, I ask what version of PTLE, because I was under the impression that 5.3.1 came with the D-verb as part of the free digirack plugs, and no longer required the floppy authorization. If you're using 5.1.1, you can download the d-verb 1.8.1 here

I hope that this helps the tiniest bit...I'll search a bit more on the digi site to see if I can come up with anything else.

Okay, yup...the d-verb 1.8.1 works with 5.1, 5.1.1, and 5.2.1 (mac). 5.3.1 for winXP has the d-verb plug under the digirack menu, so no more crappy auth disk...check out a picture of my big fat greek link to see the proof in the pudding.

If you're using an earlier version of PTLE, you'll have to update to take advantage of the 1.8.1...sorry man

Ok, then I'm just totally confused. If it's there, how do I access it? It doesn't list as a send in the mix window, and it's not listed in my audio suite. Am I totally confused?

Actually, out of your big greek link, these plugs that are supposed to be included don't look at all familiar and I don't see them in my lists (I'm at work now so I can't check). How do I get them? I didn't know they were included.

Thanks a million
Paul

Hmmmm.....that's a weird one. Start off here: what's your ptle version, did you buy it new, what disks did it come with, did the install go okay? If the whole digirack is missing, it sounds like either the file of plugs wasn't installed, or it was but it's not being found by ptle when it boots...there may be other factors I'm not listing, so I'll do a quick search on the duc...I've gotta run to teach a class, so I'll get back to you.

Ok, I think I mostly figured it out. When I got the 001 I installed all the demos (stupid because they timed out before I even had figured out how to record anything). Sick of the "do you want to enable" messages, I removed ALL of them from my programs list, including D-verb (I thought it was a demo). So I reinstalled last night.

Only problem is I still can't find Mod-delay. Should that pop up in the audio suite?

Thanks for your help
Paul
