Hell yeah, Mac's Retina display makes the sound look better.

Oh and by the way MAC is the best built computer of anyone.... from consumer point of view. The cases last and the parts and design do what they were intended to do. I've had so many PC laptop screens go buzzerk and eventually go out and I still have an old Apple G4 laptop that purrs like a kitten, yet I cant do anything with it... lol

I actually tossed 2 perfectly working pentium 4 Sony vaios last weekend. Both of them were close to 10 years old. Just so slow it was torturous to turn them on!! 1 of them was my first PC I bought for PT, so it had sentimental value!!

Its already been touched on in this thread but the main reason most people go with a Mac instead of a PC is because you can simply buy a Mac and it already be a great unit to use where as with a PC you generally have to build one to get it to the same quality. Problem is we live in a era where people want things instantly and don't really want to put in the time to build a custom made PC. Also you have some people that just plain dont have the knowledge to actually build one.

Something else to consider with so many producers working ITB and portable Logic has become a big player in that arena and its a Mac only DAW. Can't forget the driver issues that seem to always plague PC users.

I have encountered plenty of people that get stuff done on a PC. So they are quite capable I just feel a lot of various things make them less appealing.

I Agree, people listen with their eyes

The better the plugin Gui looks the better it sounds right

As someone else said! Macs have a more direct connection to the hard drive? and sound doesn't like going round bends! the zero's struggle on the apex.

+100!

And besides. A self built pc is close to half the price of a equivalent powered mac these days.

Unless you install osx on it. which last I looked osx was $30 while windows 8 is like $80. So you actually save money with a hack. so it really is just a matter of preference.

Funny

I just bought me a used case the other day an old G5 and I just tore it apart last night. I'm going to build a hack in this thing

One thing I can say that Mac's have over any other PC maker to date is how well these things are put together this G5 was really nicely put together you can tell somebody spent significant amounts of engineering and design into the layout of this system
