Default Support of Euphonix branded items

Hi folks,

So I was looking at a local store and they appear to have a Euphonix branded MC Mix unit priced as a clearance item, and cheaper than a brand new Avid branded Artist Mix.

Other than trying to decide if I want black over silver, I am wondering about what level of support should one expect if they were to buy a Euphonix branded unit. Would the level be the same? I assume it would be, but just in case... may not be a great deal in the end if something happens to it and for some strange reason Avid would not offer support.

Thoughts? Are the Euphonix marked items still getting supported?

Cheers!

They just replaced my Euphonix branded units, no problems at all. The support is excellent. John.

The support is superb. One of the best that I found. I’ve been talking this days with a guy called Charlie in the support team that has been really nice and really patience with me (and my english ). I have a Transport and a MC Mix, and I have no doubts, I’m gonna buy 2 more MC Mix.

Well, check out the pots and compare them to the new Avid ones. They made some minor changes on the units (that are branded Euphonix) and the newer ones are likely to be just as the Avid ones, but if the silver ones are old, just check that you don´t mind,,, (You can look up old posts on this matter)

Absolutely no problems here with my MC Control and in fact after you do the 2.6 firmware update it boots up with an AVID logo on screen. Mapping in PT9 is great and in fact I like it better than the PT10 trial I ran for a month, which worked great as well. I just have a pref for the defaults in the PT9 mode. There is no fussiness if you want to customize a touch screen or softkey setting in either flavor of PT. For my MX creation i7/win7PT9 rig everything is running
super. There are others on this segment of the forum who are def stress testing their setups, but perhaps my needs are simpler, and I do like simple.
