Downsized to a used Mbox Mini and have a couple of questions...

I searched the forum, but what posts I could find were on Windows systems. Anyways...

I had a 002 console originally ran LE6.7, but when I upgraded from my G4 PB, to a Intel Mac Mini, I decided to upgrade to PTLE7. I found a copy on eBay and though the seller didn't disclose it, it was a burned copy. It worked, for me and is still installed on my Mac Mini which is running OS Tiger 10.4.11. Well now I have downsized to a more mobile rig and traded a guy my 002 console + cash for his Mbox Mini. He didn't give me any software for it though.

So my questions are:

a) Am I missing something by not having the Mbox software that will let the mbox mini show up in my sys/pref's so that I can send audio through the mbm for say itunes, or quicktime movies instead of using my headphone out on my mac mini? I'm used to using the core audio driver with my 002.

b) Am I missing anything else by not having the software? I can load pt and everything, but haven't checked to see if I can record yet.

c) If I am not missing something, how do I configure my mac to see the mbox mini?

Any other advice you can offer to re: moving from one PT system to a Mbox system would be helpful too. Thanks and happy new year!
