PC and analog console - how do you share the sweet spot?
Anybody familiar with working in one of these setups? Is it mostly side by side with a small analog console? What about with a big console? I've heard about mega setups where they put all the analog faders at zero and just use PT to mix - anybody really doing that?

No I Have Never Put All The Faders @ Zero And Just Mixed In PT...But I Have Used Pt As The "Tape Machine" Lets Say Used Some Automaton In PT ,Some Plug Ins Combined With SSL Automation And Out Board Fx And Compressors And It Works OUt Quite Nice.
PT Automation To Work As A"Look ahead Compressor" Before Like An La_2a Or Something Like Huge Moves In Level to Squash It More Or Less. Trigger Delays With Pieces Of Audio Chopped etc etc. You Can Be Pretty Creative |
