S3 Faders at infinity but audio playing at unity.[solved]

Hi folks,
Just wondering if anyone else is seeing strange fader behaviour with the PTHD12.8.1 and Eucon 3.6.1 ??

I have a few tracks where the fader is down at infinity whereas the track in ProTools is at unity gain. If I try to move the fader up to unity, it jumps back down after releasing it.

Sounds like automation is not in read on those tracks.

It actually is in read. Puzzling!

What's even more puzzling, is that when you launch a session, it's all fine, until you hit play, then they jump to the bottom.
Even if I suspend all automation, they jump back to the bottom... even in stop mode. i.e. Grab it, take it to unity and immediately after letting the fader go, it foes staring back down to infinity. Mmmm

But here's the weird one... the tracks still play!

Just seems to be occurring in a couple of my sessions.

This is getting weirder!!!

I just have to click on a track in ProTools now (in the edit window) and it's fader on the S3 will go to the bottom.
(note that it doesn't affect the level on the fader in the session, unless I fight it with the fader)
Power cycle the S3 and they come back, then it's repeatable once again.....

If I unlock ProTools in the Eucon settings, and go out of ProTools and back again, they all jump to their correct level, until I start clicking on tracks.

Have restarted the computer. Dock, S3 etc etc ... this is weird!!

Update - Ok, have re-started the Dock "again" and it appears to have resolved itself.... let's hope for good!

Yup, I've seen all my S3 volume faders get stuck at infinity – it's not a mechanical problem, as flipping them to auxes work. I'm on current versions of everything.

This happens to me if I enable "touch to select" and have another (eg: the dock fader) set to be the selected track.
