Default Waves support for AAX DSP

It has been stated as fact that Waves will not support AAX DSP. However, Waves told me (today) that they have not made a decision regarding their support of AAX DSP.

Waves was the original plug-in partner for Digidesign and I have used their products for about 20 years. In fact, I have spent many thousands of dollars on Waves products over the years. My workflow requires DSP plug-in support, and I know that many other Pro Tools users work in the same way. It would be unacceptable if Waves discontinued support of DSP plug-ins.

I expressed my feelings to Waves and they said they would pass this along to the decision makers. They also encouraged me to have other users contact the company to express the desire for AAX DSP. If you would like to see AAX DSP, please contact Waves at the following address to make your feelings known:

[email protected]

Thanks!

I own every TDM plug-in Waves ever made and I would like it very much to be able to use AAX DSP plug-ins in the future. So I just e-mailed them!

They have locked 2 of my threads regarding this so Avid knows it's true. They are just trying the prolong the crushing blow it will cause to this community. ...and if my thread brings you all together, and enough of you email Waves and get's AAX DSP done than you should thanks me.

Avid should buy Waves.

Waves also released a new plugin today that was Native only.

This is exactly why I'm holding off on the hardware exchange. I am not assuming plugins are going to be DSP AAX.

The new plugin is not an AAX plugin.

They have not released any AAX plugins yet. So don't jump the gun yet.

Nobody said it was AAX. So, no gun jumping here.

I probably could have been clearer with my post, sorry about that. I was pointing out that Waves appears to have started dropping the TDM versions from their new plugins too.

Who really knows what there doing? The "Bass Rider" just came out, and that is offered in TDM.
