They talk about MotorMix as an option in the product marketing pages. However, PT talks to MotorMix via MIDI and don't see any mention of MIDI in/out ports directly on the Mbox itself anywhere in the overview.

Odds are you'll have to get a MIDI breakout box (USB?) to get a MotorMix working with MBox. It works pretty flawlessly with a 001 but then we've got MIDI ports as part of the product.

It's no big deal, I even have to use a separate midi interface with my TDM rig.

Get a MOTU FASTLANE. It's only 60 bucks, it's USB powered, 2 I/O and works great. It's really small as well, so you are still very portable. And you'll be ready to use all those virtual synths like REASON 'cause you have two MIDI ins, one for the MotorMix, one for your keyboard controller.

Hi there
Just in case you are planning on buying a Motormix. I think you should wait 3 months, since a new control surface from CMLABS is coming. The new Motormate has touch sensitive faders jog shuttle etc. It really looks cool.
I heard about it in november, and yesterday I wrote CMLAbs, who wrote back that it was coming in 3 or 4 months.

Or you could buy my Motormix! If you'd like it, I'll sell it for $650. It's in great shape and barely been used.
Email me at [email protected]

Thanks and sorry for selling on this page, but it seemed relevent!
