And they doubled the price and now charge tax. So my yearly 99 is now 220 essentially. Wondering if its time to look for an alternative. That is pretty expensive for a home hobby studio.

You must have received news about this in June when it was announced.

Not saying I agree with it BTW, but it shouldn’t have come as a shock.

Emails were sent to customers and there was thread after thread on here as well discussing the topic.

I did but I was not sure if my price would double the emails were not real clear. Its just the charge on the card was a shock still. Last year I think I paid 99 total.

That’s why I don’t have it set to auto renew. You can usually find it cheaper from a reseller.

Perhaps you misread the email. It was pretty clear, hence the uproar when it was announced.

But yes, if you can do what you need in another app, by all means switch. Sooner or later they’ll get the message. To be honest though, they’ll probably just increase the price again to offset the loss in user base. Haha!
