CD file extraction ?
What are your best sounding techniques for getting cd tracks off of previously mastered cds to remaster in Pro Tools for compilation releases, and upsampling to 24 bit??
*Digital OUT of Cdplayer to Digital in of Interface ? *Digital in to a hi end converter with quantization fot the upsampling ? *Good ol' Toast Audio Extractor ? any other ideas ? Thanks CK |

Re: CD file extraction ?
Open up the Workspace window and drag the song from the CD on to a track. It's a lot easier.

Re: CD file extraction ?
I used to do it using TAE or drag it into the workspace window until I discovered that there was a small amount of samples clipped off the end of some files. From that point forward, anything that was "important" got the "Dig out -> Dig in" real time transfer method.

Re: CD file extraction ?
why go through the cd player converters?
draging songs from the cd usually works just fine. unless you want to hit outboard processors before printing to pt. |
