Default Rigging A Tell (Recording) Light With An 003...

Question for producers using an 003 Controller and a recording indicator light outside their voice booth. I have a friend in a studio who wants to know how to do this so that when he arms a record track or tracks in Pro Tools, the recording indicator light comes on, warning people not to barge into the booth.

Can this be done using MIDI with a MIDI Solutions R8 or Punchlight Gear or is something else needed?

TIA,

Great question - I've been curious about this as well.

I'll do some digging around...there was a company that made a light that was MIDI activated, and turned on anytime you armed a record track. Look at markertek or BSWUSA dot com

I actually have this for the 2" 24 trk. And even though I haven't thought about it 'till now for PT, I'm all ears.
