Default need to open PT while offline but using wifi for LAN...

as above - I can't get this to work.

I run regular sessions in a prison so need to be completely offline, and I have my PT license on my iLok. As long as wifi on the laptop is disabled, this works fine....

however I need wifi to be on, as I use a local wifi router to use iPad control, touchOSC stuff etc.

But if wifi on the laptop is on, pro tools at startup insists on attempting to connect to the cloud, and won't open, even though the license is right there on the iLok.

Can anyone help?

thanks,
Hector.

Have you tried uninstalling Avid Link? The uninstall app should be in your apps folder.

Uninstall Cloud Client Services.
There's an uninstaller in the uninstaller folder.

Also open iLok manager, go to the File menu and choose "Close All Cloud Sessions"
iLok, by default, tries to establish a cloud session (this is so it can check if you have licenses in the cloud.) Once you've closed it, it won't come back.

This.
Simple as that.

Thanks everyone, this has worked - uninstalling avidlink allows PT to open, and closing cloud session stops the barrage of notifications that it can't connect :)

Cheers,
H
