When will AVID release a series of AllInOne HDX Audio Interfaces?

Why discuss the future of HDX? It is a 9+ year old system which I truly hope will be updated with something new that has todays tech. I mean a new MBP has more juice to give than the old HDX cards has. We have HDX but only use our big UA Apollo system with 6 units at soo close to zero latency that we have even tracked some of the biggest popstars from the US many times here with zero complains.

I've been mixing HDN for years. HDX1 is a PITA to mix on. I run out of DSP, and run into weird bottlenecks. Give me a trashcan and a native interface and I'm good to go.

(the exceptions of course, are tracking, and moving large numbers of I/O like in an Atmos mix. For that, HDX2 and HDX3 are very good)

For mixing, HDX1 is useless. I was on a project a long time ago and was offered/given an HDX card for my home system and I turned them down and told them they needed to get at least 2 cards. As a one card system, it was useless and easier to stay with using a CoreAudio device and you don't lose anything vs HDX1 and actually gain some things as a native system.

Dumb thing was the sessions for that project couldn't even be fully active without HDX3 (their idea was to give me a pre-mix rig so I could do that work outside of the main studio.)

Now I have HDX3 on the home system and love it. But the voice increase that is coming for HDX systems really needs to happen for ATMOS work.

Voices, yes. But I need internal I/O so I can use all 128 inputs over Dolby Audio Bridge!

Maybe I’m in a bit special position: As a Musician/Producer who records many real Instruments by himself I find it very comfortable if with HDX I can RecEnable the Track in PT and it‘s online with HD Plugins and (near) Zero Latency. I hate having to switch to a second Mixer (Apollo) all the time. For me, that’s the beauty of HDX! Since I don‘t have a Blockbuster Movie Trackcount, I never thought about HDX for mixing.
