You are correct - my bad! The M10 systems are preconfigured bundles. The XMon option exists for the M40 customers.

I don't understand the reasoning behind this? Why make a m10 customer buy a xmon if they don't need it?

This entire thing should be modular. In fact, that was one of the selling points wasn't it?

There should only be ONE MTM, the M40. And it should be around $6k (it's a Windows 8 tablet essentially). Then each other module should be around $2.5k. Start with an 8 fader for $16k. I bet you'd have sold a lot more than 300 units so far (which is damn good already in my book). And then those buyers would slowly add modules throughout the life of the product creating a revenue stream. As it is now, you've got studios financing expensive base units and expanded systems, making bankers happy, but then they'll never add modules because they're too expensive.

We have one nasty bug, no metering on the whole surface. Not on channels, not on the masters, no gain reduction meters, nothing. Otherwise all functions work fine.
Tried to use a ASC code to report it, but it just doesn't work right now...
Anyone found a solution for this?

tams, are you on PT 11.2.1 ?
That has a known issue with metering & S6 1.2
Although the issue , they say, is only with the meter modules . .

No, I'm only at 11.2.0 as suggested.
So far I've tried trashing PT prefs & databases, restart, changing playback engine, updating the S6 modules again, no luck.

This is happening with a 6core trashcan MacPro with HDX2 PT HD 11.2.0 with a brand new S6 M10 with updated "brain" software (1.2 something).

A little update. It seems I've found a solution for this problem, at least now all the meters are working properly.
The solution:

* changed the desk id in WScontrol app to another id
* re-launch WScontrol app (sees nothing on the network)
* re-adjust the desk id to the original one (in our case it's id 1)
* re-launch WScontrol

Done, it works fine now.

Some issues can be easily fixed by just quitting and relaunching WSControl App on your mac. :)

That's a daily thing to do sadly. I truly hope that the next update is going to be a huge bug fix update with add-on features.
