mp3 export - lost authorisation
I recently upgraded my MacPro and moved my ProTools drive across. All working fine except the mp3 export option, which has worked fine for years, is now showing saying that it needs authorising. I’m assuming this must be related to the computer change. I actually can’t remember whether this was a computer authorisation or via iLock. I thought the latter but that should still be working, if so.
I could raise a support ticket but this would cost me more than buying a new authorisation and for something which I’ve already paid for! Does this ring bells with anyone? I’d be most grateful for any thoughts. ProTools HD8 | Mac OS 10.6.8 | MacPro |

MP3 export for your system was serial based.
It starts with CUBS and is like 12 or 16 characters long from memory. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Many thanks for the reply. I've searched extensively for that text but without success.
I'm sure that Avid could help but I find it difficult to accept paying c. £35 to ask a question. Guess I may just have to pay for another authorisation! |

That mp3 algorithm has since gone public domain so maybe if you post something in the Licensing and Accounts forum, one of the Avid guys might help out. I thing that is the only thing I ever purchased from Avid/Digi that does not show up in my Avid account.

No luck with finding the authorisation key. It was quite a few years ago that I bought it.

That's very kind of you. I've spent hours scanning the various drives — found authorisation emails from Digi for everything I ever bought except the mp3 export option! Guess I may have to swallow my pride and buy it again. The workarounds are quite time consuming!
