32 input expansion for LE systems

Has anyone noticed the following on the Digi Venue info.

"The FWx card provides a direct FireWire connection to record or playback up to 18 tracks simultaneously using a Pro Tools LE system on Windows XP (expanding to 32-tracks in 2005)."

I know this is for the stage rack in the Venue system but since this feature will be implimented it shouldn't be hard to give us a separate 32 channel rackmount firewire I/O box. Or they could just just give us a rackmount 8 channel firewire modular I/O box. If we need more inputs you just buy another and link them via firewire. I'll be getting a Tango 24 for extra I/O soon but the above would be nice.

Personally I couldn't give much of a fugg for 32 inputs. 32 outputs on the other hand would be very handy. Who realistically needs 32 simultaneous inputs? I've worked on some big sessions and most likely can fit into 16 ins no worries. I can understand it for live sound guys, i've done a lotta FOH and with some of the bigger acts I do I need a LOT of inputs from stage not to mention effect returns etc.

What I would like is more audio tracks and busses so I stop needing to work on TDM rigs so much.
