Default Quick S1 question

I know I should find the answer in the manual myself, but I'm planning my new studio setup and have 100s of decisions like these, so if someone can answer easily, I just want to ask: In a setup with two S1s, is it an easy thing to program all layouts so that the far right fader (#8) on one of the S1s always reflect the channel selected with the mouse? Just as the default setup with the Dock.

In my current plan the best would have been to have this function on fader #8 on the S1 to the left, and the second best solution to have that function on #1 on the S1 to the right.

Grateful for your insight

With layouts you can assign tracks to any available faders on any multiples of S1's.

Any remaining slots can be assigned to "auto-assign" so those faders will bank for access to any other session track(s) not assigned to the layout.

See the pick for the page where you assign tracks for the layouts. My system has 3 S1's so you'll see all the available faders be assigned or leave at auto-assign.

If you have the option "Auto-bank to clicked track" whichever is the first auto-assigned fader should automatically populate with the mouse clicked track.
