That is scheduled to be shown at the PLASA show which starts on Sunday. I would guess Digi will have some info on the site next week.

There's got to be more juicy bits coming out this AES I reckon - or is only VENUE going to take centerstage ?

They are mainly showing the ICON, Venue and PT 6.7 from what I have heard. I would love some new stuff but I just don't think anything it coming this time around.

I wonder if PT v6.7 will address bugs or simply introduce more features (and thus more bugs)?

No Sh%t !!! I wish they would CHILL OUT on the features and get what they ALREADY got and we NEED to just run RIGHT, SMOOTH, and FAST like 5.3 did on OS 9 ---

Ya hear that Digi ?? No more features please, until what is already there is 100% BUG FREE --

THEN move on to introduce some new features -- I mean it is like simple, elementary thinking, and is obvious. A CHILD can tell you that !!! You have to learn how to walk correctly, before you can run... Or you will be constantly falling, and getting hurt.. Maybe even break something -- GET IT ??

Why oh WHY do you move faster than you can support ?? STOP IT, and lets get back on SOLID Ground....

Its like we all got MAD COW of the digital realm... You want to mass produce things before a good 10 years of solid testing like it was done in the old days, and all just to make some fast bucks --

How many 1964 Chevy Impala's have "bugs" ?? NONE, sh%t either works, or it don't, and if it don't, a $40 dollar part at Kragen Auto Parts has it fixed for ANOTHER 30 solid years... None of this,,, well it works, BUT if I try to turn left, I somehow find myself 8 miles away instantly, in a whole different part of town, and all my clothes are missing... Then trying to call the dealer ship to ask them what in blue blazes just happened, and they say, "Try trashing all your fuse boxes, then re-build your dashboard, then try to re-start it" -- (LOL) --

Is Digidesign a AMERICAN product or NOT ??? -- Then lets make it run like one !!!!! (Chevy) -- Simple, strong, and DAMN FAST !! Oh,, and made with a hell of alot of real STEEL !!!!

Sorry guys,,,,, had to vent --

Not possible Infa. Not unless you are writing a "Hello, World." program. All I want fixed are the issues that have time-consuming workarounds, the ones that don't have any workarounds that impede usability and functionality, and the ones that the majority of users keep citing as bugs. I've mentioned them on this forum before. Too many bugs that fall into the categories above have existed for too long. They've been either permanently deferred or put into the "we get to it when we get to it" pile. I could continue rambling but astute readers of this forum and a particular pro audio monthly publication can find this viewpoint elsewhere.

I heard the next version of PT will have enhanced MIDI. Not sure what that means but I hear it will be significant. But not enough to call it PT7.

Indeed, there actually will be multiple updates, 1 (probably 6.7) with MIDI enhancements (remember that Digi bought M-Audio) and there is an update coming specifically for AVID Mojo users (6.6). At the IBC they also mentioned update 6.5, but I do not remember what the new features will be.

And there will be a new plugin, called Beat Mangler back then, which is some expanded version of Beat Detective with more musical options.
