Default Plugin Delay Compensation (RTAS) for Pro Tools LE is alive

MellowMuse introduces the Auto Time Adjuster v1.1 plugin for Pro Tools LE which effectively becomes the Delay Compensation tool missing in LE.

http://www.mellowmuse.com/

The forum on another site is going wild over the plugin which is still getting updates as users add there suggestions, but folks are already calling it the 'Plugin of the Year' for easing the pain of latency and delays caused by plugins in Pro Tools LE:

http://www.gearslutz.com/board/new-p...ncy-pt-le.html

It does require the VST-RTAS wrapper but so far users don't care to mind too much. They are too excited about having there entire large mixes delay compensated with a few clicks, saving them hours of time and allow them to do what they do best, be creative without messing up the workflow.

ATA v1.1 baby....The Delay Compensation tool for LE

edit: 8/18/08 - This plugin will become RTAS soon!!!

$29 until Aug 1st, yeah, I'll give it a go.
Blows my mind how Digi hasn't done something like this years ago.
Haven't been using PT much lately, been using a program that cost me $11 more than this plug....and it comes with delay compensation and unlimited tracks!
Go figure.
But, yeah, I'll give it a go.

the plug is pretty cool. there is some authorization issues right now with windows pc. the daw needs to be online to authorize. lots of us are not gonna do that so we gotta use it in demo witch gives a quiet blast of white noise every once in a while. he is working on a offline authorization process right now witch should be done in a day or 2. even online machines are having some authorization probs. he is trying to troubleshoot and figure out what machines are working and whats not. seems quite promising at the moment!!!

Has anybody been able to get ATA to work with MIDI?

This looks like a wonderful plugin and I will certainly be trying it out.
One issue for me though is that many of my sessions use all five plugin slots on many of the tracks. I could use aux's to get more plugins but that would pretty quickly use up all my aux's!!
I guess there's always audiosuite but I'd rather avoid that if I can.

I assume it would treat an instrument track the same as an audio track?

If I remember correctly this is shown in the video on their website.

Yeah scottedog that it does, with DigiRack TimeAdjuster on Insert 5 and ATA on Insert 2 (VI Insert 1) Sample Delays less than 1000 are not compensated, meaning any VI not producing latency greater than 1000 samples aren't compensated.

What I'm getting at is whether others have come across these result too.

Cheers.

Stiff, yeah no it doesn't but eboy (Mellowmuse) on GS confirms what you say, MIDI is treated as Audio.
