Default Record enable multiple audio tracks in PT11

Folks, wondering if anyone has some insight on this:
For the most part I use PT10.3.6 for my sessions as some of my plugins are not up to speed on AAX. But, I did a session last week (successfully) under PT11.0 (first release of 11). It was a small band, probably 15 analog tracks. I record enabled multiple tracks and ... life was good.. No issues!

Anyway, yesterday was on another session with yet even smaller band and under pt11, I created about 11 Analogs and for the life of me, I could NOT record enable any more than 1 analog track. I think I tried holding down ALT and mouse click on the record enable. If I remember correctly, that placed EVERY track in record enable.. but, thats not always what I want. ANYONE SEE THIS? Maybe I didnt get the memo and thats the way its suppose to work.... I may try PT11.1.2 for kicks but just curious if anyone in PT-land saw this happen..
Salute!

Also, My hardware is pretty basic. 24G ram/win7 64. RME Multiface audio on PCIe card. I don't have sandra info on me but. I don't think this to be a hardware issue anyway because ProTools (other versions) works pretty flawlessly on the same set of hardware. So I am almost thinking there some stupid "record enable 1 track at a time" option checked off somewhere..

Never seen that here As a work around, how about use the Alt key to record-enable all, then click on the tracks you DON'T want in record to disable them? Or, record-safe some BEFORE using the Alt-click to enable the rest. Remember, trashing prefs is always worth a try for any "odd" behavior(and this seems odd to me)

Setup> Preferences> Operation tab> "Latch Record Enable Buttons"

If it is unchecked, you will get the behavior you have described. You can either check it, or keep it unchecked and use the shift-alt modifier keys to only record enable the selected tracks.

Or...why not just click the Record buttons on the tracks you want to record enable?

No [Alt] required, although RTFM is again our watchword...

The Record buttons are not like the Solo buttons, which can be set to Latch, which allows you to add additional Solo buttons, or it can be set to X-OR where clicking one Solo button "clears" all of the other Solo buttons.

And again, it's all right there in the manual...

Select all tracks, you want to record enable , alt+shift+click record-enable on one track , all selected are record-enabled.
Group desired tracks , attribute "record enable" , press record enable on one track , all grouped tracks are record-enabled.
Flawless in PT 11.1.2 HD.

Mesaone: You're a guru! you peg it! That option was unchecked. I checked it and got the behavior I am use to.

Thanks much! Joe
