Yes but it is release dependent, not all W10 are the same

and thats the reason one particular function isnt working? ignoring the elastic audio issue, pro tools isnt crashing anymore.

I have to admit I am not the most proficient Windows expert here, but compare your system to what the compatibility page says...

it doesnt really say anything indicating versions. unfortunately, i might have to just eat this as a loss. i can only really expect so much help on an old version after all.

my os version was never in doubt. i built this pc not that long ago. as for pt, im unlikely to pay for the upgrade anytime soon. i wanted this as a backup/audio editing/mixing daw. if i have to deal with it in its current state, im going to first have to learn what i cant do without that plugin and weigh it later. if it prevents me from using it for my intended function, ill consider buying the upgrade plan at a later date should i not be able to fix it.

Sure, whatever fits your needs.

Just in case you have not heard, let me advise you that in case your support and update plan has lapsed, Avid is no longer selling "reinstatement" so you need to find a reseller that still has codes available. And then be renewing the plan yearly. Otherwise you need to buy a new license.
