Lightbulb Using 25fps to 24fps then the converted 24fps to new 25fps. Stay with me on this!

Hi all,

I was working with audio in 25fps and all was good, then the americans wanted it in 24fps. Ok no problem, I converted it to 24fps using pitch correction (Time Factory 2) all over the 5.1 tracks, M+E etc.

All good, all in sync, perfect!

Then I noticed a few errors that I wanted to adjust before I send out the deliverables. Only problem is, all the adjustments I made were in the pitch corrected 24fps version.

Now I don't want to waste time doing all the adjustments again in the 25fps version, so my question is, will there be any quality degradation if I converted the 24fps version back up to the 25fps version?

After a 90hr week my brain was not working that day

Thanks all

That depends on the quality of the process.

Probably yes. Time expansion is generally a worse result than time compression. If you can, go back to the 25fps session and fix it and then re-export.
