Default How Do I Backup My 11R Patches?

1) How do I BACKUP all my 11R Patches via PT's?
2) How do I DOWNLOAD PATCHES that others have posted in the cloud?
3) Where do I find the best sounding CUSTOM PATCHES?

I'll head on over to another forum where people enjoy sharing knowledge. Thanks for nothing!

1.) In the 11R GUI have a look for 'save' right click it and choose save to computer. when you want to retrieve it at any time, to the left of the save button on patch name click and choose 'Load from Computer'. Patches that are saved to computer are in a folder;
C:>Program Files>Common Files>Digidesign>DAE>Plug-In Settings>Eleven Rack Rigs
Copy that folder and you've backed up your rigs, you don't need to do it in PT.

Any patches downloaded need to be placed into that folder.

2.) If you're not familiar with http://www.elevenrackpresets.com/ then this is a great place to download patches from. Download them and place in folder mentioned above.

3.)" the best sounding CUSTOM PATCHES " is subjective. What sounds good to you may sound like crap to me so as mentioned just use your ears. Any patch downloaded is likely going to need to be tweaked to suit your own gear.

I greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge. To me this is part of what forums like this are supposed to be about. Through shared knowledge and experience, we all stand a chance to gain something and save time via shorcuts.

I don't understand somebody like CoilLive taking the time to type a rude message. It essentially amounts to, "Figure it out yourself and tough luck." I'll keep the Netherlands in mind if I ever get access to a nuke. Again, CL Thanks for jack & squat.

I think there's no need for a nuke they got their ass whupped good and proper in the 1940's, enough to last for many generations to come! But for the Americans, they'd all be speaking German by now.

I've got some Dutch friends, they are great people. Maybe CoiLive is just having his period, we all have our bad days. Maybe his Location should read 'Netheregions'

I've never had any dealing with the Dutch but I've come across great people from all over the globe in these type of forums. Also, I've sold a lot of gear internationally via eBay and have had the best luck with people. Most people seem to live by the same standard...which is basically treat people the way you want to be treated. So, if CoilLive wants to be treated like a flaming mangina, I guess that's her prerogative.

Hey what's up buddy; I've spoken to you over at TGP plenty of times (different user name).

I won't say that this is the norm for this place, but to be honest it's not the resource that it should be. It's a bit on the condescending side at times, but there are some pretty good dudes on here. It's just not a very active place.

zedhead is right though; elevenrackpresets.com seems to have more of the flavor we're used to. This is a ProTools forum first and foremost in my opinion and eleven rack just isn't that hot a topic over here.
