Re: Natural midi drums?
BFD2 - it's a bit pricey, but it is a real end-all solution for drums in PRoTools. Sounds friggin amazing

http://www.stevenslatedrums.com/ He has a specific drumkit that is supposed to be close to "nirvana's" drum sounds... as well as a bunch of other famous artists. He has different versions of the library... one in it's own plugin/VI...then he has the same sounds mapped for BFD2, as well as wav files for use in sound replacer and drumagog. |

Re: Natural midi drums?
There are certainly quite a few options to consider from the ones mentioned here and many others. BFD2 is certainly a very nice plugin, Strike is one I like a lot because of its integration into PT, Superior Drummer....NICE.... but if you're looking for something top-notch for doing your own programming, check out the OCEANWAY DRUMS. It's not cheap, but very much worth it IMHO.

Re: Natural midi drums?
MIDI aside, how does the sound quality of the BFD2 samples compare to the stock samples from Drumagog? I recently bought Drumagog and am very disappointed at the quality of the stock snare samples, haven't tried much else as I don't really need them at this time. Just curious if I should go with acoustic to MIDI transfer and use BFD2 or get more gog samples like Slate or something.
