Default Protools 12.3 and El Capitan Issues

Mi issue here is that I upgraded from OS X 10.6.8 straight to El Capitan 10.11.1 and now it is a total disaster my cpu cannot load protools and leave a blank window and /or get stuck while reading and trying to boot Protools 12.3

I have an iMac 20 inch Mid 2007
Processor 2GHz Intel Core Audio
Memory 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Graphics ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT 128 MB
003 Digidesign console

I don't know what is the problem if some one can help I would really appreciate it

Most likely a RAM issue. 8 is still not so good, 16 is really what you should have.

Gonna take a wild guess and say that your almost 9 year old computer with 4 gigs of RAM is probably not up to the task anymore.

Pretty sure the 003 is not supported anymore, either. [EDIT - Looks like it is. My bad]

Might be time for a new machine.

When you upgraded the OS did you do a clean wipe (of the hard drive) and install? If not, you might try that and cross your fingers.

I have similar issue

Mac early 2008
2.66 ghz intel core 2 duo
4 gb 800mhz ddr2 sdram
HE2600 Pro 256

Although I'm trying to run LE 7.4.2 on El Capitan which looks like a total "no go" is my only option to purchase 12.3.1 ? That's a lot. . . .

Thanks
