Using Side Chain with outboard?
Hey guys,
Just trying to get my head around using the Side Chain (or Key Input) with outboard gear and Pro Tools. Basically, I'm wanting to know a little about the general process and how I can use it with my outboard compressors. I've got a TL Audio compressor and a Focusrite one, both with Side Chain inputs. I've heard you can use it with an EQ - for example, on a bass drum to compress a certain frequency more? Or, to use it to lock a bass guitar into the kick drum? Discuss!
