Recommendations please
Does anyone have a recommendation for a virtual synth package for Pro Tools LE 8 that has a good range of general sounds (contemporary and orchestral) that are realistic and versatile?
Also, does anyone know of an audio plug-in that will alter the timbre of a recorded sound without affecting either the pitch or the speed/ (eg: changing a vocal "tenor" to a "baritone"). I used to use Logic and it had a plug-in which could make the sound "bright" or "dark", etc. Thanks for any suggestions. |

Re: Recommendations please
Can't help on the synth package but I think your other request can be done with the formant function on AutoTune or Melodyne(and maybe the other pitch correction plugins as well).

Re: Recommendations please
I find that the 'xpand' synth package has a lot of good general sounds. Not necessarily the best sounds, but if you are after a whole swag full of all sorts of stuff from timpani, strings, subs grimy bass and clean plucked guitar etc, then check it out.
