I laughed at the computer assault. But when I experienced this issue it was latency that did this. Anything over 1024 would make Protools basically not work at all.

Make sure iLok manager is up to date too.

Using the most current version of iLok manager here, doesn't make a difference.

I had this happen with 12.8.1 at some point. Found that when the computer wasn't connected to Internet, it took FOREVER to launch PT.

PT loads fine, just sessions that are loading slow.
