Default video monitor mounting bracket

Can someone please reccomend a mounting bracket that will allow the monitor to rest comfortably in front of the meter bridge, but not infront of the meters? I know they exist but I'm having trouble nailing down a product or vendor. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

If you're in the US you can try Jim Risgin @ OSA. (734) 422-9160. He may be able to help.
If you're in the UK/Europe try the folks at Marquee Audio.

(...or an alternative to the bracket is to simply use Velcro to stick the monitor to the meter bridge. It works like a charm and makes for a very fast teardown.)

Hey,

We bought this: http://www.ergotron.com/Portals/0/im...33-091-200.jpg ,as the flat part goes under the console and we just have to take the pipe out of the plate and put the screen into a Peli-style plastic briefcase. The Venue's own monitor brackets go directly to the parts, so no tools needed for the assembly. And good thing is, that you can pan the monitor. We actually cut extra out of that pipe. We are still searching for a long enough arm to get the keyboard there too.

Is it possible to use an external trackball with Venue? Just to get everything close to the monitor, when doing some things.

Hi,

That sounds like a nice solution you have. If there any pics of your VENUE rig online please share the link so other users can check it out.

Yes, a standard USB trackball can be connected to any available port.

Here you can see the stand: http://koti.mbnet.fi/iruutu/pics/sal...etusivusta.jpg . The pipe was originally about 30cm longer but we just cut it with a saw.

For the big D-show we often just put (USA) nickels into that slot. Two nickels together fits snugly in the slot and then the monitor sits behind the coins and leans against the meter bridge. Generally we put it in the dead area between the main surface and the sidecar - no meters at the ends and the cables can feed back between the two surfaces.
