sync i/o with 192\'s?
In setting up a new HD2 system using two 192 i/o's (for music recording and mixing), is it necessary to clock them to an external sync such as the Sync i/o, or is their internal loop sync sufficient? At what point in adding i/o interfaces to a system is the Sync i/o necessary?

Re: sync i/o with 192\'s?
The sync i/o is used to sync the pro tools system to other gear such as video systems or tape transports etc.
You don't need a sync i/o if you are just using digi interfaces and are not worried about syncing to picture, video or tape. Steve |
