Default Raspy garge voice fx

Does anyone know how to artificially make a voice sound gargly and/or raspy?

I see a pretty good result in this youtube tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AvP0GKGP4k

However, I am using the standard Pro Tools "Pitch" plugin, and I am not achieving the same result as this guy.

I think the secret to his success is in changing the WINDOW and CROSSFADE parameters within the two different pitches that he's applying. But P.T. only offers the CROSSFADE parameter, not WINDOW size. So that might be why my results suck.

Let me know your thoughts please.
