Default Sync HD + 192's ?

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere.
Will the Sync HD work with 192's & Pro Tools 9 ?

It should be fine, as the new gray one was actually introduced back when Protools 8 was current, and people have been using it since then.

But hopefully someone who owns one will verify.

Sync HD (grey) is the most current box out there so there is likely zero problems. The slightly older blue Sync HD should also work just as fine, but as the years come by, the blue box will not be supported as long as the grey box. The original blue Sync (non-HD) I/O is not supported as we speak.

Interfaces are another thing to consider. All HD interfaces work perfectly *now* but nobody knows how long the blue boxes keep going. The current HD interfaces (grey boxes, Avid branded) naturally are the top-of-the-line now and will see support for many years to come.

To sum it up, I wouldn't be worried at all. Original non-HD syncs can be trashed if you think PT11 but otherwise no trouble at all.
