Default how do i multi track record off mpc to protools?

i have my mpc midi in to korg triton midi out
mpc midi out to korg midi in
mbox2 midi in to mpc midi out
mbox2 midi out to mpc midi in
mpc n korg stereo outs to alesis multimix 8 mixer
alesis main outs to mbox2 inputs 1 n 2

is it possible to multi track record with this set up with out having to get a digi rack 002 or 003. like what im trying to do is after i made my beat on my mpc, i wanna be able to record each track simultaneously instead of recording each track individually? and if it is how would i go about it?

Think about that question for a minute and then ask yourself how can you possibly record each track simultaneously when you only have two channels going into Pro Tools (4 if you have the Mbox 2 and Mbox 2 Pro with spdif). So to answer your question, the max you can record at a time is 1 stereo track or 2 mono tracks. If you have one of the two Mboxes with spdif and your MPC has spdif, you can do 2 stereo tracks, or 1 stero track and 2 mono tracks, or 4 mono tracks. That is the max, which is 4 channels at a time. If you want more, you need the 002 or 003. If you still want more, you will have to add another a/d convertor (adat) to your 002/003.

It's too late at night for me to fully understand your setup, but if you control your MIDI devices from ProTools then you can record each part one at a time.

my setup is very much like yours 88 keyboard midi to mpc korg triton rack runs via the A1 midi and pro tools on midi B2
that way i can run protools and mpc at same time e.g you can add fx while u program and get the best of both worlds by dumpping things in and out of pro tools "btw u wil need a small mixers as well to run audio to and from pro tools to mpc" the other guys info is on piont in that you will need 002r or 003r to track 8 or more tracks at the same time but i will tell u what i did b4 i got 003r
tracking 2 mono @ a time sucks big time i got myself a Audient Mico 2-channel pre-amp with spdif out on it wiich will open you up to 4 track at the same time it also opens you up with your drums as you can now do your procussion live for a more human feal and Audient mico will also work with a 002r and 003r if you still need to track out more tracks at the same time

p.s any tracks that you want to keep mpc punch on must come out out of ST from mpc your muilt out will not have the same punch as your ST out
holla back if you dont understand what i am on about

Tracking 2 channels at a time doesn't have to take forever. You can use copy and paste to record each instrument of all your sequences for only the amount of bars they run (usually 4 or 8 for hip hop). Then put it together in Pro Tools.

Check out parts 4 and 5 of my tracking vids to see what I mean:
