Default pt hd plugins etc

Hello,
I just finished a quick mix on my new HD 1 system and have a few questions.
#1. The order of plugins effects the latency. When using 7band eq3 in the first slot the latency is huge. Move the plugin and it goes way down.
Here's a read out of the system usage window...

HD Engine 100 %
HD Engine 100 %
MixrLong delays 88%
MixrLong delays 95%
MixrLong delays 98%
MixrLong delays 98%
Plugin sharing 99%
plugin sharing 91%
plugin sharing 87%
Bomfactory bf 76 50%
Are these read outs proper?

I was working on an 88.2 khz session and was surprized by how much card usage occured while using the stock DIgi Design plugins.
Also I was given an error in regards to RTAS plugin count. It stated that I was out of voices. THis confused me because I come from a LE and Mpowered back ground.
I know the solution to this is to use 2 dsp's and use 48 voices but I can't get the # of plugs I need to mix and I much prefer the TDM plugins.
DOes it sound like my system is working properly?
Thanks

You realize there is NO delay compensation when using RTAS plug-ins? The ONLY time I've used them in a TDM session is when I start running out of TDM processing, then I use simple things, like EQ and easy Comps, in RTAS mode to free up DSP.

I'm confused. In another post of mine I was told ADC works with RTAS plugs as well.
THat was one of the reasons I upgraded to HD.

RTAS plugins are delay compensated on a HD system.

I think what you are doing is mixing up instances of RTAS/TDM plugins with regard to voice counts. If you start with RTAS plugins, then once you go to a TDM plugin you stay in the TDM domain, you will not loose an extra voice. If you start with a TDM plugin in the A insert slot, then instantiate an RTAS plug in the B slot, you will incur extra voice allocations, so you will not be able to get 48 voices on your HD-1.
