Default Can I use a guitar pedal into mbox2pro\'s DI?

I tried recording with a boutique overdrive pedal into the DI of my mbox2 pro and well.... didn't sound good. Why?? Is there any way to do it using DI? Or is the amp simulator plugins the only way to go via DI?

Try pedal> line in
or..Pedal>DI>mic in

hi lemix,

which line in? on the aux in section, right next beside xlr inputs?

pedal>DI>mic? I don't understand "mic"?

Once I do this, I would still need to use amplitube set on clean guitar sound, to able to my guitar correct? Or is there another way?

BTW would I have done anything damaging to my mbox2pro from guitar>pedal>DI experiment?

cary ,
> line inputs are normally 1/4" mono TRS jacks.
>'"mic" would be the XLR microphone input. Most DI's connect here.
> Amplitube would still be needed.

>> not likely. Connecting various pedals, DI's and such will only change the gain structure and impedance matching. Do not pump a power amps's speaker out into your poor Mbox though !!

good luck,

So it is just an impedance mismatch? I wonder if anyone from digi will comment ??
