How to use ALL 18 inputs on Digi002 without jitter
I´ve written some questions about thi in the past and got some answers but I wanted it confrimed by my dealer before getting a a S/PDIF converter, and my dealer wasn`t shure either.
How can I connect 8 Channels of Adat and an S/PDIF to my 002R and get everthing clocked without getting digital pops and/or jitter?

Re: How to use ALL 18 inputs on Digi002 without jitter
Connect the ADAT convertor's Optical litepipe to the litepipe input on the 002 and set the ADAT converter to "Internal Clock" and in hardware settings, in Protools, select ADAT as clock source. Then connect the ADAT convertors Sync out (wordclock out) to the S/PDIF pre's sync input (wordclock in) with a 75ohm coax sync cable. Select external sync on the S/PDIF pre. Connect the S/PDIF pre's Digital output to the 002's S/PDIF input.
Now the ADAT acts as the master clock and Protools and the S/PDIF are in slave mode. Swiching the sample rate on the ADAT interface should now update the sample rate on the S/PDIF interface and Protools. |
