Default Digi CoreAudio connects 003 at 44.1kHz ONLY?

Unable to change it to 48kHz at any time as all other options (48, 88.2, 96) are grayed out.

Reinstalled drivers...trashed prefs...repaired permissions....

Oh, and I'm crashing constantly as the 003 disconnects from PT. Crash file lists:

Did you try pressing "N" during boot to make sure you have the correct engine selected?

Yes. 003 is online.

(in fact my 002 unit does the same thing: hooks up at 44.1 but allother options are grayed out meaning I can't work with audio for video at 48kHz).

Digi CoreAudio Manager won't let me change sample rate. I need 48kHz to work with audio from Final Cut Pro...running CoreAudio manger ONLY connects at 44.1kHz...all higher sample rates are grayed out.

How are you doing this, or attempting to? Are you opening a session and then trying to change sample rates? Also where are doing this?

Are you trying to change it in the Session Setup?

I've seen the same thing on the 002. When running Itunes it drops out every 2min or so and has to be reset. 44.1 is the only option. I have no idea either. OP is talking about the 3rd party drivers/digicore drivers that work outside of protools with protools hardware. Maybe you could install the old one that came with 8 as a standalone on a different drive or folder and run that instead? i dunno
