Anyone uses a VMOD with RS422?

We use a VMOD controlled thru RS422 on our PT 24 mix plus(version 5). Version 5 has a new option in the machine control page: use timecode of serial. Sometimes PT and VMOD are a couple of frames not in sync! I check this with the audio on the VMOD with the audio track of PT. If I let PT chase the LTC of the VMOD there is no problem. ????
Anyone.

Of course I use both on the same videosync.
